About the funding model

Whirled Bees grew out of Alan Davis's Who Am I? What Do I Believe? and his Eight Practices. It lives on two sites with one rule: .org carries the mission, .com carries the money.

Why two sites?

Help that should be free should never have to sell anything. So the free things (Alan's document, the Eight Practices daily site, the Common Wisdom Library, and later Be Present / Accompany) live on whirledbees.org, and everything that earns money (sponsors, merch, the printed book and deck, honey partnerships) lives here on .com. Money earned here funds the work there, including a fair wage for the coordinator who runs it.

Two promises that never blur

1. Free means free

Presence and practice on whirledbees.org are never charged for. No fees, no paywall, no signup required to practice. If it is on .org, it is free, full stop.

2. Label money honestly

This site is a for-profit company. Purchases and contributions here are not tax-deductible, and every page that mentions money says so plainly, until the day the .org side stands as its own nonprofit.

Visit the mission

The practices, the library, and Alan's beliefs live on the other site. Start there, come back here when you want to help fund it.
